For This Eli Pays Taxes

The theater of the absurd continues. From the comments, Charles Monnett has been ordered back to work,

"Chuck is planning to go to work. He just doesn't know what the work is going to be," says attorney Jeff Ruch of Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility
and the butt covering has commenced

Melissa Schwartz, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, confirmed in an email that Monnett's administrative leave is coming to an end.

"He was informed that he will have no role in developing or managing contracts and will instead be in our environmental assessment division," Schwartz said in the email.

"The return of an employee to work does not suggest that future administrative actions cannot/will not be taken," Schwartz added. "Federal regulations create a presumption against lengthy administrative leaves. Lengthier administrative leaves are reserved for exceptional situations when all other options are considered insufficient to adequately protect the government's interests."

Time to investigate Michael Mann again.

Culture of Fear

Chilling message successfully communicated, presumably. Folks with children, mortgages, other entanglements will take this lesson to heart, avoid delivering information that may prove annoying to the "customers."

If you cannot attack the message attack the messenger.

DO NOT EVEN BORROW A POSTAGE STAMP. They will get you anyway they can, and they are getting desperate.

Eli --- Your even-steven share of the national security budget is about $4000 per annum. Feel safer now?

From the agency, no word on the gag order, just re-assigned duties. My questions are: will PEER continue with the FOI; will it name names; will this get a real investigation?

“...no role in developing or managing contracts...” Recall Monnett’s frustration in the interrogation transcript on study design not being responsive to what is really occurring.

Dr. Jay Cadbury, phd.

Ho ho ho, an early Christmas for the good doctor! If you guys are worried about this, just wait until Perry takes office. Many will be in denial, but Eli knows in his heart Perry is going to win.

Statement from PEER here.

@Eli

Haha there were some good quotes on there. I'm sure Perry is not your favorite but take it from somebody who knows a lot of people in Texas, Perry is going to have a treasure trove of campaign money. Literally, you may see him lugging around a very ornate box with gold dabloons and blue rubies.
