IOKIYAAD**

Really little bunnies, It's OK if you are a Denialist. Remember Mike Tobis' personal blogstorm? Well, as they say, IOKIYAAD when Art Robinson, of the 17,000 club, aka the Oregon Petition, talks at the Heartland conference about

12:00 noon - 2:00 pm Lunch and keynote speakers
Art Robinson - Nobel Prize for Death
and yes, if you sit through the video, he does say that hundreds of millions will die if Fat Al gets his way

Or, when Christopher Monckton mouths off
Now the very same soi-disant “Greens” are killing millions by starvation in a dozen of the world’s poorest regions. Their biofuel scam, a nasty by-product of their shoddy, senseless, failed, falsified, fraudulent “global warming” bugaboo, has turned millions of acres of agricultural land from growing food for humans to growing fuel for automobiles. If we let them, they will carelessly kill tens of millions more by pursuing Osamabamarama’s stated ambition of shutting down nine-tenths of the economies of the West and flinging us back to the Stone Age without even the right to light fires in our caves.
Ethon has been using a lot of mouthwash, waiting with baited breath on the Front Range, for the indignation coming out of Colorado. Wanna bet he's gonna be waiting a long time?

Projection. Every attack is just projection - if they accuse you of doing something, it's because they've already done it countless times themselves, and that's just the way they think. They know it's despicable, but they want to bring you down to their level.

Osamabamarama?

What a kook Monckton is.

I'll give him this, the potty peer sure does bring the HoYay:

Monckton: When the Founding Fathers of this great nation met in that hot summer long ago in the City of Brotherly Love

If anyone here missed my personal blogstorm, a better link is probably here.

There's bait on my breath as well. I expect Morano and Beck will follow up as well.

changed the link. you might send a love note to Kloor and Pielke=:>

"I expect Morano and Beck will follow up as well."

Can't we make our own noise? :) (I've added this blog entry into my MLP section.)

And can we have the Latin original of Monckton's speech?

Of course, one of the lesser but more conspicuous downsides to preferring assumptions over details, as you do, is the fact that you beclown yourself endlessly in committing such malapropisms as "baited breath," which, from my perspective, is on par with "escape goat."

Now it happens that I live in the Rocky Mountain Front Range, and I promise you that my indignation, is, as you say, "coming out of Colorado." And you may quote me wildly on that.

Please, Joshua, Michael, please, for fuck sake, it's bated breath, as every good schoolgirl knows. As in abated. As in "to moderate or restrain." As in, Michael, there's bate on your breath (though I have no doubt that there's bait on your breath as well). As in Merchant of Venice, i. iii. 125: "With bated breath, and whispring humblenesse."

I suspect you won't believe this, but neither your leftwing science nor your cocky tone carries real weight when your speech is so consistently interlarded with these elementary blunders.

Left wing science? HAhahahahahahaaahahahahahah.

Ok, thats all you've got, thanks for the laugh. Better luck next time.

Thin King Man:
good to see someone from Colorado.

So, perhaps you can tell us how you feel about mountain pine & spruce beetles, given that it no longer gets cold enough, often enough to suppress them?

Hopefully Colorado residents can adapt to losing these trees. We hear adaption is good.

Not really, when you're blog fishing, baiting your breath works better than holding it.

Comment by panelist Emily Gertz at SXSW panel on Web 2.0 in the sustainability crisis: "Where are the LOLcats of global warming? We need humor too."

Obviously she needs to know about Rabett Run.

In my opinion, readers should be able to detect weak puns from spelling errors and flame in an apropos fashion. But, you know, it's a doggie dog world out there.

You know denialists are gasping for straws when they start critiquing your puns.

Just as an example, I made this quite a long time ago:

Anonymous 5:42 you're very unkind.

If you had their quota for strawman production every day, you'd grasp at every straw you could, too.

Indeed if there were only a few more denialists, we could use the production for carbon sequestration, solving their problems and ours!

MarkeyMouse says:

Monckton is of course factually correct in most of what he says. His speech was entertainment, and I think it summarises what most of the non Warmer community think of their opponents, expressed in a way one would when being candid with friends.

The fact is the AGW movement is anti-Western, anti-Capitalist, started in 1989 with Green Cross International, Founding President, Mikhail Gorbachev, Communist ex President of the USSR and KGB Lawyer. Funded with tithes extracted as a form of political protection money from US Corporations, and funnelled through "non Profit Charities" into the WorldWide Green (Green on the outside, Red on the inside) movement.

No amount of science will convince the AGW'ers they are wrong, because they are on a Political Mission. Their job is to bend science to fit the Politics. Their Politics is the destruction of Western Economies by Political means.

It is interesting to compare the criticism of Monckton having a laugh, and the stupid tolerance of Hansen and Gores, and the Dermocratic Congress and Senates 1984 speak.

Malarkey Mouse provides yet another prime example of the "IOKIYAD" rule.

By the way, the "lolpics" category on my blog has moved.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
