A modest proposal

It had come to management's attention here at Rabett Run, that various and sundry climate change denialists** are unhappy being called climate change deniers. One can see their point. Deniers, are but the unhappy dupes of the much smarter and well read professional denialists, who make it their mission to sow confusion. Thenceforth we pledge to make the proper distinction.

Afetr all, it is technically a measure of the weight of fibers, and thus the cloth made from them.

lol you have no shame. However, you miss a critical point.

Professional denialists are those who are actively creating a second holocaust that will only occur long after they are dead. Therefore they have immunity from persecution. If climate sensitivity is high and sea levels rise "eighty feet" then the holocaust created by the Professional denialists will surely make Auschwitz seem trivial. Therefore should we give them the title of Professional denialists and assistant mass murderers? Perhaps that is too strong. Maybe I should merely give them the title Professional denialists and mass manslaughterers.

As for your typical Denier, I prefer to call him/her an Ostrich. A holocaust denier has the luxury of nothing imminently bad resulting from his denial. An Ostrich has his head in the sand because he either can't handle or can't understand the future. A future that could very easily be very dangerous. There is a very important difference between the two.

If Inhofe, Gray, et. al can compare us to Nazi's then why shouldn't I return the favor? Personally I think the description fits them far better.

End Note to the nay sayers: This analogy is merely something for you to chew on while we do nothing and funding for *meaningful* alternative energy gets cut. You better be damn sure you are right and everyone on this list and this list is wrong.

I would also like to clarify that I've never compared skeptics to Nazi's before. However, now that a lot of them have compared us to Nazis and many of them are claiming that our use of the word "denial" implies Nazi, I have no choice but to obey their wish.
