A cloudy day
Nexus 6 (have to add him to the blogroll) has spotted a paper that drives the stake into Svensmark, et al.'s cosmic ray obsession:
A new paper by Evan et al. in Geophysical Research Letters may well be the final nail in the coffin for cosmic ray-induced climate change. Central to the theory are data from the International Satellite Cloud Climatology Project (ISCCP) showing that cloud levels have decreased by up to 4% over the past 20 years. Decreased low-level cloud cover due to decreased cloud-nucleating cosmic rays is proposed to lead to warming. However, for some time it has been noted that a portion of ISCCP data did not match surface-based observations, and that low-level cloud cover may not have actually reduced in recent times.Go look over there for the details, a very similar story to the troubles that the MSU records had. While you are at it gawk at the flow charts for science and faith and hop over to the Lounge of the Lab Lemming for the pseudoscientific method flow chart.

Eli, you might want to update to the more precise link at Nexus 6: http://n3xus6.blogspot.com/2007/02/its-curtains-for-cosmic-rays.html.
Thanks for posting thsi.
Thanks, taken care of ":).
