Judy Curry continues her crazy aunt act, which is being tornapartby theusual suspects. Her arguments are so shallow and easy to refute that one is left with the conclusion that she ain't too bright to start with.
I find this sentence of Curry's ... well, curious:
"I will provide a few simple examples of reasoning to compare (I know I will need help here from the logicians, bayesians, and lawyers in the group, but this is a start)."
I'm unable to think of any problem that would require a consilience of lawyers, logicians and bayesians but I sure that's because I'm into old-fashioned science speak. (Learned a new word from Curry; consilience! have to show it off!)
The very fact that there is consilience on AGW underscores the robustness of the theory of AGW and is all the more reason for us to be deeply concerned.
What is Curry's take? I do not waste my time reading the tripe on her blog....she finally lost me when she floated the ludicrous and amateur Italian flag analogy.
Meanwhile ice loss from the Greenland Ice Sheet accelerates:
Why does Curry coddle denialism? Perhaps she's planning on a run for public office in her (among the reddest of) red state.
Maybe it has to do with personal safety... I mean, what might happen to Michael Mann or James Hansen if they wandered around down down there in the Deep South?

Eli Rabett is a not quite failed professorial techno-bunny, a chair election from retirement, at a wanna be research university that has a lot to be proud of but has swallowed the Kool-Aid. The students are naive but great and the administrators vary day-to-day between homicidal and delusional. His colleagues are smart, but they have a curious inability to see the holes that they dig for themselves. Prof. Rabett is thankful that they occasionally heed his pointing out the implications of the various enthusiasms that rattle around the department and school. Ms. Rabett is thankful that Prof. Rabett occasionally heeds her pointing out that he is nuts.

Hey. I said that elsewhere, too.

Touche, David. :) And yes, I note that more people are picking up Curry's Marohasy impersonation.
Time to follow the kids for their Trick'o'Treating around the neighborhood. 'Scuse me while I put on my Tom Fuller outfit on...
Ohhh.... That's scarrryyy....
Careful, after dark the reflection can cause traffic accidents if you lean over too far.

Something which Curry, along with Tony Watts and co., is busy trying to distract us all from....

"Learned a new word from Curry; consilience!"

That's E.O. Wilson's term from a great book of the same name, and he sure as heck didn't mean whatever Curry seems to think it means.

If that's a question of personal safety, one might question her of the threats she has recieved there down in the Deep South.
Question: Is there anything to a Libertarian explanation of Curry?

Belatedly for Pete's question, not much:
