Pat Robertson, Al Sharpton and Al Gore walk into a bar
Stop Eli if you've heard this one before, but it is what happens in a new ad by the Alliance for Climate Protection.
The public-service announcement - apparently Gore was directing - is meant to show that people who don't agree on much can still agree that the environment is important.UPDATE: Rabett Run is now showing this ad in the upper left corner.

Al Gore is smart... he realizes that AGW must come out of the partisan sphere.
I only hope Robertson doesn't stab him in the back, or converts back... from what I hear his 'conversion' was only due to an unusually warm summer. IOW, we don't know what was the real reason behind it.

Why is science news is full of the following recently?
The link between global warming and hurricanes is not proven. Global warming is not proven, it may be climate change. Climate change may be natural. CO2 may not be the cause of global warming if it exists. Who are we to believe?

Al Gore was so full of shit he blocked the head when he went for a dump and consequently got barred from the pub.
Anon, first of all you need to take a name at the door (read the request), second, you need to read about AlGorithms. bi has a fine take on this

A day ago, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw another commercial in this series, with Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich:

Given Newt's history with science, this is interesting.
Like most here, I'm confident global warming is underway, and thank Al Gore for his efforts bringing the dangers of inaction to our attention...so far be it from me to tell him how to publicize this crisis...but I don't like this ad.
I can't the view of either speaker seriously: two wrongs dont' make a right.
