What Eli is reading

Motivated by some nonsense at μWatt's(TM Gareth) place Eli found Death by Beer, serious but interesting with a good joke at the beginning.
You’ve probably heard the one about the brewer who drowned in a vat of his own beer. On the solemn occasion of the announcement of the tragedy to his colleagues, one of them inquired as to whether the brewer had died quickly. ‘No’, the brewery manager replied. ‘He got out three times to pee.’

And while Eli is at it here is something annoying for Magnus.

  1. These stories of brewry deaths suggest an anti-CO2 bias. A skeptic would suggest that they died from a lack of oxygen.

  2. I missed your FOOT BALL extravaganza this summer... however I hope it is not too late to chip in with a take on dick cheney creativity:

    Anonymous,
Yeah, boy, I love it when they play the oldies, too. 1987, huh. I'll bet you have the Newsweak (sp. intentional) that claims we'll have a new ice age, too.

Of course, Biden was in college, while Wegman was misleading...oops, advising congress on a matter of global importance. But, hey, I can see how in the mind of a blinkered ideologue you could see an analogy.

Dear Anonymous,

UPDATE: The spambots got clever so the verification is back. Apologies
