The Past is Prologue to the Future - EPA Version
With Trumps, Pruitt and Co. busy dismantling EPA Eli has been showing the young bunnies postcards from the past of places like Los Angeles and their future wheresoever they are
However, this being Friday, a musical interlude is required
It's not that bad. Government agencies have a tendency to grow bloated, and the EPA was a politicized agency which really needs to get cut, so it will motivate those who remain to work on clean water and air.
Not that bad, hmmm. So the misery of the poor does not concern you...and nor does the state of the great lakes or the breathability of the air. Trimming fat requires actual detailed knowledge of the impact of the cuts-- but Trump and his Republicans have made it clear they just don't care. Clearly you don't either, but that's not reassuring.
Looks like Eli's been reading that "lying liberal propaganda rag" again. I mean, what real 'Merikan cares if there's a problem with air pollution in New Delhi? Heck, we've got our EPA to clean up the air and water, so let those wogs stew in their own people pollution, right?...:-)
Beijing having fallen from the top of the urban pollution list, somebody should ask Jeff Bezos to ban Amazon sales of gift-wrapped dung fuel to buyers in Delhi. where, say the UNEP gurus 16 % of the visible smog arises from burning the stuff.
UPDATE: The spambots got clever so the verification is back. Apologies
Some of the regulars here are having trouble telling the anonymice apart. Please add some distinguishing name to your comment such as Mickey, Minnie, Mighty, or Fred.
Ah, good, the San Jose version.
ReplyDeleteIn Pasadena on a good day one could see the mountains. Otherwise, like the postcard.

ReplyDeleteWhere would the Anthropocene be without reports of rioting in Africa and strife in Iran?
ReplyDeleteFL, a word of advice: it's better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.

ReplyDeleteOh, wait, the Repugs and their Fearless Leaders, (Sir Plump and his advisors, Bannon et al.), don't give a bunny's butt about the environment. It's lots more fun to blow up buildings and kill people we don't like...
Holy cow, Bernard !
