setting records
Over and over again, the deniers claim that "Global warming has stopped". Show them this article including a very instructive graphic. The world climate is setting temperature records. Actually, smashing them.
Tom (Fuller?), by how much do you want the previous record to be broken?
0.06 °C since 2012 is 2 °C/century which, in addition to the ~0.8 °C that has been currently realised, puts the planet well into catastrophic territory - as much as that c-word makes you gag...
So, by how much would you like to see a three year old record broken? Eh?
@Tom's is a reaction typical of a non-scientist. .06C is not a temperature. It is an indicator of warming constructed from many temperatures around the world. No one feels this "temperature" because it is not attached to a location. It's an indicator.
UPDATE: The spambots got clever so the verification is back. Apologies
Some of the regulars here are having trouble telling the anonymice apart. Please add some distinguishing name to your comment such as Mickey, Minnie, Mighty, or Fred.
From the linked article: "This was the highest for June in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record set in 2012 by 0.11°F (0.06°C)"
ReplyDelete0.06C?
Boy, there's news.
No news, Tom. It's the hiatus. Meaning we only get record hot months for a while. Boooooring! No news. TOGTFO.
