Right, Bruce, the only way to stop those stop those myxtomyopic poofters from ruining floposophy is to build a Philosopher-proof fence across the Nullarbor Plain from the University of Wooloomaroo to the antipode of Hegel's birthplace!
I've totally gone AWOL. Apologies. But thanks for posting this classic! I do intend to get back on the blog train, but it's hard to get my mojo back up.
Plus, there are other outlets. You've seen this, yes?
Eli Rabett, a not quite failed professorial techno-bunny who finally handed in the keys and retired from his wanna be research university. The students continue to be naive but great people and the administrators continue to vary day-to-day between homicidal and delusional without Eli's help. Eli notices from recent political developments that this behavior is not limited to administrators. His colleagues retain their curious inability to see the holes that they dig for themselves. Prof. Rabett is thankful that they, or at least some of them occasionally heeded his pointing out the implications of the various enthusiasms that rattle around the department and school. Ms. Rabett is thankful that Prof. Rabett occasionally heeds her pointing out that he is nuts.

"The Germans are disputing it...Hegel is arguing that the reality is merely an a-priori adjunct of non-naturalistic ethics..."!!
Oh man, too hilarious. Absolute favorite of all the Python skits, bar none. And I had forgotten how much Marx resembled Jerry Garcia!
Further action from the same league:

Absolutely love it! I'm married to a continental philosopher and if I showed this to him, he'd likely quibble about Hegel's statement. LOL.
