Dear Mr. Dr. Professor Rabbit,
Mr. Revkin has raised the issue of "tribalism" in science, which is defined primarily by size of group (smallish, inbred and characterized by, if I have the term correct, "gropethink"). You represent a group size of exactly one, which is highly small, and therefore with minimal genetic diversity (not counting the X and Y chromosomes, assuming male rabbits have such). You are therefore guilty of tribalism and inbreeeding in the extreme. Please henceforth cease and desist in these practices or I shall call in the my fellow coyotes forthwith and ex post pronto. We've had enough thank you.
Sincerely,
Wiley
but there is more
Dear Mr. Dr. Professor Rabbit,
I wish to apologize for an error in my previous post. Apparently Mr. Dr. Revkin did not in fact raise the issue of tribalism in science; rather, the issue was raised by some "un-named" individuals in an email he received. Mr. Dr. Revkin merely appropriated the issue, like a croc grabbing a baby gazelle by the snout at the waterhole, and then regurgitated it in his weekly blog address to the nation. I do apologize for this oversight. Nevertheless me and my fellow coyotes are still hungry and you are the closest thing available at the moment, and we just received out ACME jet powered roller skates, which are non-returnable.
Sincerely,
Wiley
Eli suspects the work of a specific, perhaps former, friend of his. Ms. Rabett sends greetings and mentions that Eli is delicious.
It does seem that the Whiney Coyeto with or without ACME jet powered roller skates does things at neck-breaking speed. Rabetts with the extra roadrunner gene wont have much issue in out-earing them.

I thought the whole “tribalism” accusation was a Ms. Dr. Professor Curry thing…
ReplyDeleteUmmmm…Now that’s a thought…curry wabett - must be lunch time.

Dear Mr. Dr. Professor Rabbit,
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear of your receipt of mail but saddened to hear of the dead rats and death threats. I and my fellow coyotes wish to give the appearance of distancing ourselves from such actions, even though they are directed towards what we can all clearly agree are stealth-politicizing, inbred, tribalistic, self-aggrandizing, decline-hiding cretins of the worst imaginable kind. We deplore such behavior against both humans and sub-humans alike.
We are pleased to hear the comments of Ms. Dr. Professor Rabbit and would like to *have* you over for dinner as soon as is lagomorphically possible.
Sincerely,
Your friend,
Wiley (with an "e")
Don't coyotes like dead rats? Why would they be sorry to hear about them. Good eatin and they don't run very fast.

If you've seen the cartoons -- especially the one where Wiley threatened Bugs Bunny -- you've seen Coyote's main characteristic is a hilarious combination of pomposity and incompetence.
ReplyDeleteIf I was Eli, I wouldn't worry.

That'l fix 'em.
Nice catch about the court ruling. Pretty good stuff. If Cooch appeals, some of the favorable stuff for him could be thrown out.
ReplyDeleteNot much chance for sanctions against Cooch though, unfortunately. The court is way too patient.
Save the rabbits! At the University of Victoria, the campus is overrun by bunnies, and a "rabbit control program" was discussed, involving trapping and removing some rabbits, sterilizing others, and (gasp!) killing some rabbits. The university was hit by an injuction by animal rights activists, but university prevailed in court. Meanwhile many people volunteered to take in rabbits. The good news is that if everyone who makes the offer to adopt actually does so, no bunnies will be killed. And the dreaded rabbit shortage will be averted!

ReplyDelete"main characteristic is a hilarious combination of pomposity and incompetence." I'm afraid that has already been trademarked.

2. The regulation of Carbon Dioxide in our atmosphere should be left to God and not government and I oppose all measures of Cap and Trade as well as the teaching of global warming theory in our schools.
So increasing CO2 doesn't count as regulating, but decreasing CO2 does? These fruitloops are trying to take us to hell in a handcart.
Jumpin Jehosephat,
ReplyDeleteI don't cotton to no teaparties- last one Rabbett dragged me into had a hatter who didn't know a Stetson from a hole in the ground , but seein what them Regulators did to Wiley, I'm a gonna refuduate them too

The invincible ignorance displayed by 'bananachips' on that thread is irritating enough, but the bizarro-world post by....wilycoyote1, wouldn't you know...was the last straw for me. My response there is signed 'krabapple'.

Yes, we "warmistas" there have a special relationship with bananaships et al. A day wouldn't be the same without their wise words and plastic scepticism. Thanks for dropping by there, but don't be disappointed. What you saw was nothing compared to what can happen there ;) I see none have actually taken up Steve Easterbrook's challenge but dodge the bullet while putting on calm faces.
